Engineer
Clark’s Consulting Connection, LLC is seeking an Engineer for a client in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Objective:

Client is seeking an engineer to join an innovative, industry-leading team which provides mechanical and electrical designs for the production of custom truck mounted pressure vessels and pumping systems
Responsibilities:
-
Produce drawings, schematics, or 3D models in support of design and production functions for fabricated items, electrical circuits, hydraulic systems, and specific customer needs.

Review drawings from major suppliers to ensure the components will meet required criteria.

Provide weight distribution drawings for units being sold to determine if they comply with DOT requirements of various levels.

Provide support for the service group in troubleshooting issues in the field. This includes phone calls, video calls and even some in person visits to customers.

Provide training to customers - including the creation of operation manuals for the different builds, operational videos, as well as on-site training for the customers when requested.

Evaluate customer needs through conversation or ride-alongs to provide tailored designs to meet specific requests.

Develop improvements to current products and processes. This includes new product development and testing as well as striving to standardize internal processes to improve quality and performance.

Analyze failures from the field to determine warranty considerations as well as failure modes.

Support the manufacturing and production teams in maintaining the necessary certifications of various governing organizations.

Provide data extractions and manipulations; training can be provided if necessary.

Minimal travel - may be asked to travel occasionally to trade shows and customer sites.
Qualifications:
-
4-year B.S. degree in Engineering
-
4+ years of experience in an engineering field
-
Able to handle multiple tasks
-
CAD knowledge and experience – preferably Solidworks
-
Desire to welcome new challenges
Technical Qualifications:

Pressure vessels
-
Fluid dynamics
-
Electrical systems and basic circuits understanding

Basic computer programming knowledge

Regulations from governing agencies
-
Basic knowledge of truck upfitting
